The most diminutive aeonium, A. sedifolium forms compact rounded mounds just a few inches tall, with inch-wide rosettes of plump sedum-like leaves. In age it can form an open branching structure with a crown of foliage, giving a bonsai-like effect. When grown in bright light, the sticky foliage becomes attractively marked with red. The flowers are bright yellow, typical of the genus. Rooted cuts of HBG 59024, a plant collected by H. Y.
