ISI 2004-24. Glottiphyllum longum ‘Yellow Fever’ Out of Stock

Some collectors have a distaste for variegated plants, dismissing them as diseased or mutant. Others seek out all and any variegates with zeal. This plant inspires that full spectrum of passions. The pallid, yellow-green foliage speckled with darker green does not exude an aura of good health. Nevertheless, it is a tough plant. Its flaccid, rubbery leaves are surprisingly resistant to blemishes, and the distichous rosettes slowly but inexorably multiply to form clumps on a time-scale reminiscent of watching the hands of a clock move. Rooted cuts of HBG 90226, a plant obtained from the late Paul Hutchison of Tropic World Nursery in Escondido, CA and which is here newly named. $10.
