ISI 2007-5. Hylocereus ‘Kathie Van Arum’ E. Meier

This second selection of Meier’s cross of H. undatus and H. stenopterus flowered for the first time in 1997, a year after its sibling H. ‘Connie Mayer’, and is named for Meier’s late friend and long-time member of the San Diego Epiphyllum Society, Kathie Van Arum. Its flowers can be as large as or larger (30+ cm) than those of H. undatus and are a lighter pink than those of H. ‘Connie Mayer’. Rooted cuts of HBG 95202. $8.
