ISI 2009-20. Euphorbia pubiglans N. E. Brown Out of Stock

Closely related to E. bupleurifolia but branching to form a rounded or conical shrub to about 1' tall. The 2" diameter stems are knobby, with spirally arranged tubercles. The linear leaves are clustered at the stem tips, from which the inflorescences emerge surrounded by bracts that form a circular cup to 1" across. All parts are a rich, bright green. The species is native to the Western and Eastern Cape Provinces, from the Uniondale District east to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. HBG 98574. $8.
