ISI 2012-3. Melocactus ernestii Vaupel Out of Stock

This Brazilian species forms depressed-globose, dark-green stems to over 30 cm across. What distinguishes it from others of the genus are its long spines. These typically reach a length of some 10 cm. However, we offer seedlings from a population near Jequié in the state of Bahia that have even longer spines, up to 25 cm in maturity! HBG 108051, plants grown from seed. $6.
