Last year we offered Echinocactus grusonii fa. brevispinus, the short-spined form of the ever-popular golden barrel cactus. This year we offer a form that swings in the opposite direction with very dense, tortuous golden spines that nearly conceal the green bodies. It is circulating in Europe under the German cultivar name used here which means curly head in reference to the curved spines. Supplies are limited, therefore one per customer. HBG 120326, $12.
