This is a much smaller species than T. paniculatus, forming a shrub to about half a meter (1.5') tall with stems topped by rosettes of ascending, cylindrical leaves. During summer dormancy, the leaves fall leaving phyllopodia (literally “leaf feet”) ornamenting the stems. The species has a similar range to that of T. paniculatus, but is less common, throughout much of the winter rainfall regions of S. Africa and Namibia. HBG 119759, $15.
