Schick Hybrids

Ordering Information

Availability

Orders are accepted until September 30 and are shipped by Priority Mail from March – October. No minimum order. Many items are in limited supply, so we encourage the listing of several alternate selections. Most items will be limited to one per customer. If you are combining orders for more than one person, please list orders separately. We will do our best to combine shipping fees as economically as possible.

This catalog lists Schick Echinopsis hybrids that were introduced between 1996 and 2015, with the bulk of introductions between 1996 and 2004. Items marked Limited Quantity are few enough that they may very soon become out of stock entirely. Items marked Out of Stock are currently unavailable, and may remain unavailable for a long time, or permanently. Please note that plant availability information on this website is a manual process for rough ordering guidance only, currently updated once a year, usually around late spring when the current year’s ISI selection is published. The only way of verifying actual availability is by contacting the ISI office.

You may specify the particular cultivars you would like or just the number of varieties if you would like us to choose for you. Feel free to mention the range of colors or other criteria you are seeking, keeping in mind the limited number of varieties available this year. Plants are shipped bare-root without soil. Individual plants are rooted and usually range from 1" to 2" diameter, sometimes larger, but not smaller unless you request a particular cultivar and are willing to receive a smaller but viable rooted offset or unrooted cutting.

Costs

All individual hybrids are priced at $10. CA residents add 9.5% sales tax. For shipping within CA add $10.50 minimum or $1 per plant, whichever is greater. Shipping charges for orders of three or fewer plants will be quoted prior to charging if we are able to ship for less than $10.50. For orders outside of CA add $16.50 minimum (for medium Flat Rate box). Orders may incur additional charges depending on weight and size of the box required. We will advise of shipping rates at time of fulfillment and will attempt to use Flat Rate boxes to ensure the lowest shipping costs.

Agricultural restrictions and fees

We are not able to ship plants to Napa or Sonoma Counties in California; Counties north of Los Angeles must include an additional $10 to cover mandatory pesticide treatment. The following states (subject to change) require an additional $40 certification fee for pest inspection by a California agricultural inspector: AL, AK, AZ, FL, ID, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV, and all US Territories.

Payment methods

Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Credit card payments will usually be processed in the week prior to shipping. For security purposes, credit card number, expiration date and security code may be called in to 626-405-3571 or orders may be faxed to 626-405-3501. Do not send credit card information in an email message: our system will delete the message. Billing address is required if it is not the same as the shipping address. NOTE: Customers who wish to pay by check or money-order should not send payment until they’ve received a final total for their order from the ISI office. Checks sent in with orders will be returned.

Processing time

Please allow 4-6 wks for processing during peak periods of spring and summer. We will do our best to process orders within this time frame, but there may be extenuating factors that could cause further delays. We will notify you if such a delay is expected.

Acknowledgement

By e-mail within 72 hours if possible, by postcard if no e-mail provided. Availability of current and/or past offerings will be tentatively confirmed at this time, but this may change when filling your order.
