Echinopsis ‘Elegant Lady’

Flower star-like, to 5¾ inches (14.5 cm) across. Inner petals oblanceolate, acute, white, midrib purer white, sometimes with delicate pink tip. Outer petals projecting beyond inners, bicolored white and light pinkish-purple with darker midrib. Sepals also projecting beyond inners, linear and flat, more darkly colored than outer petals. Throat-circle, filaments and stigma white. Stem globular, to 4¼ inches (11 cm) in diameter; central spines to ½ inch (14 mm) long. ISI 2000-10; HBG 85184, Schick 1590-28.
