Echinopsis ‘Oberon’ Limited Quantity

Flower to 4 inches (11 cm) across. Petals obovate with rounded apex, dark, satiny magenta with red midrib. Throat-circle pinkish-purple. Filaments dark magenta with strongly contrasting cream-colored anthers. Stigma exserted, green. Stem semicolumnar, to 3½ inches (9 cm) in diameter; central spines to ⅜ inch (11 mm) long. Oberon was the king of the fairies in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer-night’s Dream. ISI 97-21; HBG 80607, Schick 572-19.
