Three species of Oeceoclades have been offered here to date (O. calcarata, ISI 2001-40, O. roseovariegata, ISI 2001-41 and O. spathulifera, ISI 2000-62). Here is another distinctive species of this genus of cryptically colored, dwarf, terrestrial orchids. While this closely resembles O. decaryi (H. Perr.) Garay & Taylor, as illustrated by Rauh (Succulent and Xerophytic Plants of Madagascar, Vol. 2, p. 334), it is a distinct species, according to Walter Röösli. HBG 87297, from controlled pollination of Röösli and Hoffmann 1096, collected at Analalava, Madagascar. $30.
