Previously offered as ISI 1497 in 1984, this seems worth offering again as it has proven to be quite worthy as both a landscape subject or container specimen. It’s an attractive form of this Mexican species with ovoid, glossy-green leaves that blush red in bright light. The white flowers emerge from tight clusters of glossy bracts and sepals. Rooted cuts of HBG 41304, a plant collected by A. Lau (058), March, 1971, 1900-2000 m. alt., from a N-facing granite outcrop S of Acultzingo, Veracruz, Mexico. $8.
