This newly named selection is similar to E. ‘Krakatoa’ (ISI 2000-16) with a star-like form and a predominant color that hybridizer Bob Schick describes as dusky magenta. ‘Dangerous Journey’ differs primarily in the more symmetrical arrangement of its stamens.
