ISI 2007-21. Euphorbia rubromarginata L.E. Newton Out of Stock

This shrubby euphorbia, to 1 m tall and across, was first found in Ethiopia, near the Kenyan border, by Gilfrid Powys. He returned to the Kenyan side of the border with Murizio Dioli and Len Newton in 1990 and found it there as well. Newton described it as new in the C&S Journal in 1992 (64:167-168). The epithet refers to the red margins of the yellow cyathial glands though the margins of the four-sided stems are also lined with reddish stipular spines neatly arranged perpendicular to the stems like the rungs of a ladder.
