This distinctive semi-epigeous (above-ground) bulb is yet to be described but appears to be closest to D. burkei subsp. burkei. It differs in its crenate-margined leaves and smaller, green flowers. Divisions of HBG 103577, from tissue-culture of a plant collected by C. Craib in 1998 in open savannah grassland, near Houtbosdorp, in the Pietersburg area of the Northern Province, S. Africa. $8.
