This species is widespread from E. Africa north to Arabia but is little cultivated. As the name implies, the succulent, lance-ovate leaves are glaucous grayish in color and are borne in opposite pairs on stems to a meter or more tall. The leaf margins are coarsely dentately lobed with a smaller lobe in between each larger. The flowers are four-petalled and in this collection are delicate creamy yellow, sometimes with a pinkish tinge. Rooted cuts of HBG 108164, a plant collected by Jane Powys at Pinguone, Kenya. $8.
