Haworthia gracilis is a complex, variable entity that can be smooth or toothy, but var. tenera is characterized by Bayer as a usually more rounded and neater plant than the type. We grow a handful of clones that encompass much of the variation of the variety but Clone 4, offered here, is a particularly compact and delicately toothed form. We offer divisions of HBG 73599, collected by Michael Vassar (6413), 10 km E of Committees on the Fish River near Grahamstown, E. Cape, S. Africa. $6.
