The Dolicothele group of mammillarias are distinguished by their bright yellow flowers, often with a pleasant, lemony perfume. Mammillaria baumii is one of these with clumping heads to about an inch and a half in diameter, covered with a dense network of glassy, mostly radial, white spines. It multiplies readily and will soon fill a dish of a foot or more in diameter. We offer rooted clumps of HBG 129020, a clone that has been in cultivation for many years, reportedly originating from Tamaulipas, Mexico, along the road from Jaumave to Palmillas. $8.
