Flower to nearly 6 inches (14.5 cm) across. Petals oblanceolate, mucronate, bright to pastel yellow with age. Outers petals and sepals projecting beyond inners, outers similar in color to inners but sepals delicate pinkish-purple. Throat-circle white. Filaments light yellow. Stigma and style dark green. Stem semicolumnar, to 5¼ inches (13 cm) in diameter; central spines to ¾ inch (20 mm) long. ISI 2000-14; HBG 85196, Schick 1372-23.
