Flower fragrant, to nearly 5 inches (12 cm) across. Inner petals obovate with acute apex, ruffled, bicolored pastel magenta to dusky purplish-red and bronzy-orange with light red midrib. Outer petals paler than inners. Throat-circle and stigma white. Filaments light pink to light orangish. Stem smooth and rich green, globular, to 4½ inches (11.5 cm) in diameter; spines to ⅛ inch (3 mm) long. ISI 99-14; HBG 82626, Schick 479-11.
