Flower to 5 inches (13 cm) across. Petals obovate, lovely purplish-pink with darker midrib. Throat-circle pink. Filaments light pink. Stigma white. Stem semicolumnar, to 3½ inches (9 cm) in diameter; central spines to ¾ inch (19 mm) long. Named in honor of Nancy Scott, ISI assistant for many years at the Huntington Botanical Gardens.
