Flower to 4¼ inches (11 cm) across. Inner petals nearly orbicular, ruffled and crinkled at sides, recurved even at cooler temperatures, outers broader, almost truncate, all petals light yellow with narrow, delicate pinkish area at tips. Throat-circle light yellow. Filaments yellow. Stem globular, to 3½ inches (9 cm) in diameter; central spines ¼ inch (5 mm) long.
