Flower to 4½ inches (11.5 cm) across, beautifully sunburst-like. Inner petals obovate, acute and ruffled, pumpkin-orange with purer orange midrib. Outer petals projecting beyond inners, flat and acuminate, light orange to mostly or partly yellow. Sepals lanceolate, projecting beyond petals, grayish. Filaments orange. Stigma light green.
