Flower to 5 inches (12.5 cm) across. Petals relatively few, oblanceolate in two whorls. Inner petals flat, veiny-textured, mustard-yellow to bronzy-yellow with pink a midrib. Outer petals yellowish with a light magenta central stripe. Throat-circle pale yellow. Filaments yellow. Stem semicolumnar, to 3¼ inches (8 cm) in diameter; central spines to ¾ inch (1.8 cm) long.
