Flower to about 5¼ inches (13.5 cm) across. Petals oblanceolate, light orangish-beige to light mauve with narrow, pale orangish to beige margin and russet-orange midrib. Outer petals generally paler than inners. Throat-circle and stigma white. Filaments pink. Stem barrel-like, to 5½ inches (14 cm) across; central spines to 1 inch (26 mm) long.
