Flower to 4¼ inches (11 cm) across. Inner petals obovate, bicolored dark, dusky purple or bright pure magenta and deep bronzy-orange with red midrib. Outer petals and sepals longer than inners, dark red, or with powdery red central stripe and magenta margins. Throat-circle and filaments dark, waxy red; anthers cream-colored, fluffy, contrasting to petals; outer stamens in a wide circle, conspicuously exserted. Stigma dark green.
