Another collection of this Arabian succulent was offered only a couple of years ago (ISI 2005-31 as Kleinia semperviva) but sold out before all orders could be filled. In the meantime, we realized that we had another collection never offered or properly documented through the ISI. Its glaucous, echeveria-like rosettes and fragrant heads of lovely pink flowers, not to mention its provenance and longevity, make this a worthy reintroduction. Rooted cuts of HBG 22933, Lavranos & Smith 819, collected May 17, 1967, at 6000', Thira Pass on the Lawdar-Mukeiras road, Audhali Escarpment, southern Yemen. $10.
